Removal of Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia Using Holmium Laser Technology

Many men feel distressed and a lack of self-confidence due to the symptoms of benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH). My fear of enlarged prostate treatment:

I had always felt embarrassed by the symptoms of prostate enlargement, which caused me to experience a frequent and urgent need to urinate, along with urinary incontinence. I was also afraid of undergoing surgical treatment, which delayed my decision about getting treated. A friend of mine had undergone open surgery for prostate enlargement and suffered serious complications, which only increased my fear and hesitation in taking any steps toward treatment.
However, due to my delay in seeking treatment, I developed recurrent urinary tract infections (UTIs), which worsened my symptoms and led to a deterioration in my condition. This pushed me to search for a skilled urologist.

At first, I was afraid and didn’t want to look at the endoscope screen or see the procedure, but thanks to Dr. Enmar Mohamed Habib's conversation with me throughout the procedure, I felt reassured and could watch the procedure without fear.
A flexible endoscope was inserted through the urethra, meaning there was no surgical incision. Then, a holmium laser was used to precisely separate the enlarged prostate. After suctioning the enlarged tissue and completing the procedure, a sample of the fragmented prostate was sent for analysis to determine whether the enlargement was benign or malignant.

Results of BPH treatment using Holmium Laser Enucleation of the Prostate (HoLEP):
